Reflections of Being Featured in A Documentary: Our Clients, Our Story, and the Clean Economy Movement

Last Friday night was a moment I won’t soon forget. Sitting in a packed theater, surrounded by over 120 people who share a passion for clean energy, I watched as our work—our mission—was brought to life on the big screen. It was an incredible honor to be part of the sold-out screening of Clean Economy Now, a documentary by the talented Roger Sorkin. The film offers a preview of the powerful stories behind the clean energy movement, and being included in that narrative was both humbling and deeply meaningful.

The documentary is based on Bob Keefe’s book, Clean Economy Now, which lays out exactly why clean energy isn’t just necessary—it’s an undeniable, bipartisan force that strengthens communities on both a local and national level. Bob’s book captures the policies and data that have made it possible for people like me to not only build a career in clean energy but also to change lives. Roger has done an incredible job translating those stories onto film, highlighting the real-world impact of the clean economy.

When I first started Infinite Energy Advisors, my goal was simple: to ensure that clean energy was accessible to all, regardless of political or personal motivations. It was never just about solar panels—it was about people. It was about lowering energy burdens for households and businesses, giving communities the tools to take control of their energy future, and training the next generation of clean energy workers through the Solar Knowledge Institute. Over time, our impact grew, and the stories of the people we worked with became a testament to what’s possible when policy, opportunity, and passion align.

When Roger and Bob approached me about featuring my journey in Clean Economy Now, I was honored. Their work has been instrumental in advancing sustainability, and their commitment to telling the human side of the clean energy transition is something truly special. Through their storytelling, they’ve amplified the voices of people like Robert Howey and myself—people who have dedicated their careers to making the clean economy work for everyone.

Seeing those stories unfold on the screen, with a room full of people engaged and inspired, was an unforgettable experience. It was a powerful reminder that the work we do at Infinite Energy Advisors and SKI isn’t just about the present—it’s about the future we’re building. A future where solar isn’t just an alternative but the norm. A future where clean energy careers are accessible to all, regardless of background. A future where sustainability isn’t a political issue, but a shared commitment to a better world.

The enthusiasm in the room that night reinforced something I’ve always believed, and something Bob detailed in his book: the clean economy is now. It’s not a distant goal or an abstract concept—it’s happening in real time, and we’re at the forefront of it. This documentary and the series of films that will follow will help tell that story, ensuring that the momentum we’ve built continues to grow.

A huge thank you to Bob Keefe and Roger Sorkin for their incredible work and for including me in this project. And of course, thank you to everyone who showed up to support this vision. This is just the beginning. I can’t wait to see the final result and to witness the continued impact of these films as they inspire and educate audiences across the country.

At IEA and SKI, we’re committed to making solar energy and workforce development accessible to all, and we’re grateful for every opportunity to share that mission. This film is more than just a commemoration of our work—it’s a call to action to keep the clean economy strong. And we’re just getting started.
